Lindsey T. Allard
Lindsey T. Allard (allard@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is the Director of School Readiness Consulting and the founder of Allard and Associates. She holds a B.S. in Human Development and Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College and a M.Ed. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Allard consults with national, state and local organizations, publishers, non-profits and government agencies. Her portfolio includes work in education policy, design and delivery of professional development, and evaluation of education initiatives. The success of School Readiness Consulting/Allard and Associates stems from Ms. Allard’s immense technical capacity, her high level of organization, and her relationships with stakeholders within the local and national early care and education community.

Kate Anderson Simons
Kate Anderson Simons (KAS@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is a Project Director at School Readiness Consulting. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University and is currently completing an M.P.P in International Policy and Development at Georgetown University. Ms. Simons has consulted on domestic and international education projects for the Brookings Institution, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Child Trends, Inc., the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and a number of local organizations. She brings highly developed skills in project management, evaluation, and quantitative analysis to the School Readiness Consulting team. Ms. Simons’ interests focus on vulnerable children both in the U.S. and internationally who are affected by poverty, armed conflict, and inequitable learning environments.

Lisa Luceno
Lisa Luceno (lisa@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is a Project Director at School Readiness Consulting. She holds an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University and a graduate certificate in teaching. Ms. Luceno has worked in the field of early childhood education for the last ten years as a teacher, trainer, and administrator. Lisa is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has extensive experience working with children and families nationally and internationally in private schools, public schools, and community based organizations. Working closely with early childhood practitioners to critically examine their practice and identify and implement strategies for supporting all kinds of young learners is one of her greatest enjoyments.

Jaimie H. Caleb
Jaimie H. Caleb (jaimie@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is a Project Director at School Readiness Consulting. She earned a B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Humanities and Science and an M.S. in Organizational Development from American University’s School of Public Affairs. Mrs. Caleb has worked for and consulted within government, nonprofit and higher education settings and was previously employed by the District of Columbia’s Department of Health Community Health Administration where she assisted the agency in securing approximately $1.3 million in federal funding to provide services to women, infants and children. Her experience, skills and expertise range from process facilitation, grant development, project management, team development and strategic planning.

Kate Werling
Kate Werling (k.werling@comcast.net) is a Professional Development Specialist at School Readiness Consulting. She earned a MS Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Preschool Disabilities and is a state certified trainer and author of various newsletter articles and a national management manual for providing services to children with disabilities. Ms. Werling is a national consultant who loves to travel as much as provide services to early childhood programs. The former preschool teacher has worked at Florida Mental Health Institute as a family involvement specialist, with all phases of Head Start as a mentor, literacy coach, and professional development instructor and is currently a member of the National Head Start Bureau’s Consultant Pool and a member of Teaching Strategies Professional Development Network.

Julia Wessel
Julia Wessel (wessel@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is a Project Associate at School Readiness Consulting. She holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Kenyon College. In addition to working for SRC, she is a Senior Research Assistant in the Early Childhood Development Area at Child Trends, a non-profit, research organization in Washington D.C. She is particularly interested in the role of early childhood education and services for homeless and vulnerable children as well as access to high quality services for all children and families. She hopes to eventually pursue an advanced degree in social work.

Meagan Mcswiggan
Meagan McSwiggan (meagan@schoolreadinessconsulting.com) is a Project Associate at School Readiness Consulting. She attained dual B.A. degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Wake Forest University in 2008 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida. Ms. McSwiggan worked as a Research Assistant at Child Trends in Washington DC before pursuing graduate school. Meagan is passionate about early social-emotional development and attachment relationships in particular.
